... and the BBQ Sauce for those quesadillas...
I make large quantities of this sauce and refrigerate
it. I don't even bother buying other BBQ
sauce anymore because there's just no comparison.
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup honey ~ I bought two gallons of local honey just so I could keep this sauce on hand! Sounds like a nice excuse, doesn't it? I really want to keep bees so I live vicariously through other bee-keepers :-)
1 teaspoon liquid Mesquite smoke
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco pepper
1 cup ketchup
1 cup vinegar1/2 cup molasses

1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco pepper
Wisk all of the ingredients until smooth in a saucepan over
high heat. When the mixture comes to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer
uncovered 30 to 45 minutes until the mixture thickens, remove it from the heat.
If the sauce becomes too thick, thin it with more vinegar.
